*Mass.  sea service.  Applied 1833 Hancock Co., ME, aged 77.  On July 28, 1852, a son James Maddocks, signed POA & a Leonard Z. Maddocks * Geo Tilden were witnesses to his POA.

 

**Born March the year Braddock was defeated in VA.  Afterwards lived with father in Lycoming Co., PA, then to Crawford Co., PA for 20 years, then to Mercer Co., PA where he applied 1833 and live 10 years.  In 1833 son Jacob made off’dt in Mercer Co., PA.  Soldier’s sister (not named) lived in NJ.  Soldier’s bro. Peter aged 73 was of Crawford Co., PA, and his bro. Joseph was of Mercer Co., PA, in 1833.

 

***Born Dec. 15, 1761 Goochland Co., VA.  Lived in Powhatan Co., VA, and in 1793 moved to what later became Scott Co., KY.  In 1805 or ’06 moved to Owen Co., KY.  Applied there 1832, d. there 3/4/1839.  Married Elizabeth Furgerson in Cumberland Co., VA, March 16, 1781, at the home of Wm Maddox.  Widow stated birth & mrg Rcd. Burned in the house of John Furgerson in Caroline Co., VA.  Children (1) James b. 6/27/1785, & in Owen Co., KY, in 1843.  (2) Jacob b. 2/22/1787, in Owen Co., KY, in 1843.  (3) Sherwood b. 11/3/1788.  (4)  Frances b. 9/30/1790.  (5) David b. 8/13/1795.  (6) Larkin b. 11/4/1798.  (7) Elizabeth b. 10/30/180?

 

****Born 9/30/1757, lived Charlotte Co., VA at enl.  Appl. 1832 Shelby Co., KY, d. 6/30/1834.  Married Delilah 7/13/1785 (b. 4/13/1770).  Widow applied 1839 Shelby Co., KY.  Children:  (1) David b. 1/9/1787, m.
